How do you make Pom-Bears?
The delicious teddy shaped potato snacks are made from mixing together potato powder, water, starches and salt. The resulting dough is rolled out flat and the teddy shapes are cut out using a big roller.
These then travel along a conveyor belt as they are dried. Afterwards the Pom-Bears are fried carefully in a quality sunflower oil blend which makes them nice and crisp before we add the flavour. Once they are really tasty the little bears are foil wrapped to keep them fresh for you to enjoy.
Is it safe for my child to sign up to the site?
We’ve designed our site so that your child and their personal details are completely safe and secure. We don’t collect any personal data and your email addresses are encrypted for added security. There is no facility for messaging or interpersonal contact through our site –in fact, other than selecting a nickname, there’s no option for free typing at all.
How do you add friends?
Log in and click to the profile page. You can either invite a friend who is not already on the website or you can search for a friend if you know their nickname. Click on their profile icon and then click the invite button underneath.
Are Pom-Bears healthy?
Pom-Bear contain no artificial flavourings, colours or preservatives and are substantially lower in calories and higher in fibre than the majority of potato snacks and crisps.
We’ve also improved the Pom-Bear recipe of late to make them better for you. Now they contain much less salt and are fried in pure sunflower oil which is naturally low in saturated fat.
Are Pom-Bears suitable for vegetarians?
Yes – all Pom-Bear products are approved by the Vegetarian Society with the exception of our Prawn Cocktail snacks which contain fish extract.
Do Pom-Bears contain nuts or sesame seeds?
None of the Pom-Bear range contains nuts and we do not handle nuts in our factory. None of our products contain sesame seeds either, although Pom-Bear Bakes are made in an environment that also handles sesame seeds.
Do Pom-Bears contain gluten?
Pom-Bear potato snacks are gluten free and are therefore an ideal snack for anyone suffering from a wheat intolerance.
Pom-Bear Bakes are made with wheat flour so you shouldn’t eat them if your doctor has advised you to avoid wheat.
